🚀 The quick version (plain English)

1. Agreeing to these Terms

1.1 By starting a free trial, buying a subscription, or using Learning Rocket, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (including the Privacy Notice for Parents, which explains how we handle children's information). If you don't agree, don't use Learning Rocket.

1.2 You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of each child you add. Children may not create accounts, buy subscriptions, or accept these Terms.

1.3 Learning Rocket is offered only to residents of the United States, with a US billing address.

2. Your account

2.1 You are the account holder. You're responsible for your login, your optional parent PIN, all activity under your account (including your children's play), and keeping your email current.

2.2 You control what your children can do in the app (for example, daily time limits and the parent PIN). Please supervise your children's use of devices and the internet.

2.3 Tell us right away using the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

3. A digital product

3.1 Learning Rocket is a digital subscription service. Nothing physical is shipped. After checkout (including at the start of a free trial), access is granted promptly through your login at app.learningrocket.online.

3.2 Licence. While your subscription is active and you follow these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for you and the children in your household on your account to use the app for personal, non-commercial learning. Everything in Learning Rocket (games, levels, characters, art, audio, voices, text and software) belongs to Code Squirrel LLC or its licensors. You buy access, not ownership.

3.3 In-app rewards have no money value. Stars, sparks, trophies, pets, rocket parts and other in-game items are part of the game only. They can't be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and they may change or reset.

3.4 Content changes. We regularly add, change and retire games, levels and features. Numbers of levels, games or worlds on our website describe the app at the time we wrote them and may change.

3.5 Not a school or tutoring service. Learning Rocket is a supplemental learning game. We don't guarantee any academic result, grade, test score or curriculum alignment, and it is not a substitute for school, a teacher, or professional evaluation.

3.6 Your equipment. You need a compatible device, a supported browser and internet access, which you provide at your own cost. Some features (like the read-aloud voice) may fall back to your device's built-in voice or be unavailable at times.

4. Subscription, free trial and automatic renewal

4.1 Price. Learning Rocket is offered at a special rate of $9.99 per month for the first child and $5.99 per month for each additional child on your account, plus any applicable sales tax. The price you agree to at checkout is the price that applies.

4.2 7-day free trial for new families. The 7-day free trial is for new families only, one free trial per family. A "family" means a household and the parent or guardian accounts and payment methods connected to it. If your family has already had a Learning Rocket free trial or paid subscription, you aren't eligible for another trial. We decide eligibility using your Learning Rocket parent account, your account email and your past subscriptions in our payment records (see our Privacy Policy), and if a trial is started by a family that wasn't eligible, we may end it and start the paid subscription (after telling you, and you can cancel instead). We collect your payment method at checkout. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription and your payment method is charged the monthly price for the number of children you chose, when the trial ends, and every month after that. Returning families: your subscription starts and your payment method is charged the monthly price when you subscribe, then every month after that until you cancel.

4.3 Automatic monthly renewal. Your subscription renews automatically every month, and you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method the then-current monthly price, plus applicable tax, on each renewal date, until you cancel. Your renewal date is the same day each month as your first paid charge.

4.4 Adding or removing children. Each additional child is $5.99/month. If you add a child during a paid month, we charge a prorated amount right away for the rest of that month (plus applicable tax), and then the full $5.99/month from your next renewal. We'll show you the exact amount before you confirm. If you add a child during your free trial, there's no charge until the trial ends. Removing a child lowers your price from the next renewal, with no refund for the current month.

4.5 Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. We'll tell you by email at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before a change takes effect, with how to cancel. If you don't cancel, the new price applies from your next renewal after the effective date.

4.6 Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may pause access until payment succeeds.

4.7 Payments by Stripe. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor, under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We don't receive or store your full card number.

4.8 Reminders. We'll send the notices the law requires, including an acknowledgment after you sign up (with these subscription terms and how to cancel) and an annual reminder of your subscription, its price and how to cancel.

5. Cancelling

5.1 Cancel online, in the app. You cancel in Mission Control (your parent dashboard), on the web or in the app, by tapping "Cancel my plan." This is how you cancel, so your cancellation is recorded with our payment processor (Stripe) right away. "Cancel my plan" stays visible on every step, including if we show you an offer to stay. You never have to answer a question or look at an offer to cancel, and choosing it cancels your subscription right away (it takes effect as described in Section 5.3). If you can't sign in or have forgotten your parent PIN, use "Forgot password" or "Forgot PIN"; the reset link takes you straight to "Cancel my plan." If you're still locked out, email contactlearningrocket@gmail.com and we'll help you get back into your account. If you still can't sign in, our team will verify that you're the account holder and cancel for you through our system, and we'll confirm by email. Changed your mind? Until your current period ends, you can tap "Keep my plan" in Mission Control. "Manage billing" in Mission Control opens our secure Stripe billing page so you can update your payment method and see receipts. We won't make you call or jump through hoops, and we'll email you a confirmation when your cancellation is complete.

5.2 Timing. Subscribers must cancel their subscription at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, you won't be charged for the next month.

5.3 What cancelling does. Cancelling stops all future charges. Your access continues until the end of the trial or monthly period you've already paid for, then ends. If you cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends, you won't be charged.

5.4 After your subscription ends, your account and your children's data are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, and you can delete them yourself at any time in Mission Control.

6. Refunds

6.1 All charges are final. Because Learning Rocket is a digital service available immediately, and you can try it free for 7 days first, we don't give refunds or credits for partial months, unused time, unused features, or for children you added but didn't use, except where required by law.

6.2 We may, at our sole discretion, give a refund or credit in a particular case. Doing so once doesn't oblige us to do it again.

6.3 If you think you were charged by mistake, please use the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy first so we can fix it quickly. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the law or your card issuer's rules.

7. AI in Learning Rocket

7.1 Where we use AI. Learning Rocket uses artificial intelligence tools in some features, including: - (a) The read-aloud voice. Questions and stories are spoken by an AI-generated voice made by our provider, ElevenLabs. - (b) Communications with parents (opt-in, if offered). If we offer AI-assisted communications and you've signed up for an account and opted in, we may use AI to help write or send messages to you (for example, emails about your subscription, tips, or your child's progress) and to help answer your questions. We'll name the channels and providers in our Privacy Policy before we start. - (c) Communications with children. Today the app has no AI chat with children; the kids' app uses pre-written game content plus the AI read-aloud voice. If we add an AI feature that talks with children, we'll update these Terms and the Privacy Notice for Parents first and get any parental consent the law requires.

7.2 Opting in and out. AI-assisted communications are sent only after you create an account and opt in. You can opt out of non-essential AI-assisted messages anytime with the link or setting we provide in those messages. We'll still send messages we must send (like billing notices and legal notices).

7.3 We'll tell you it's AI. When you're chatting with an AI assistant rather than a person, we'll say so.

7.4 AI can be wrong. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. It is provided for general information and convenience only, and is not professional educational, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Please use your own judgment. If anything matters, ask a person: use the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy and a person on our team will review it.

7.5 Children's data and AI training. We don't use your or your children's personal information to train AI models.

7.6 Don't try to make an AI feature produce harmful, unlawful or inappropriate content, or to extract its instructions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to (and not to let anyone else): copy, resell, rent, share accounts outside your household, or commercially use the app; scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt it; bypass the parent PIN, time limits or access controls; use bots or automated access; upload anything unlawful or harmful; or use Learning Rocket in a classroom, school or business without our written agreement.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, including the Privacy Notice for Parents, explains what we collect and how we use it. You can review and delete your children's information at any time in Mission Control.

10. Feedback

If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, don't pay, or if needed to protect children, other users, or the service. You may stop using Learning Rocket and cancel at any time (Section 5). Sections that by their nature should survive (including 3.2–3.3, 6, 7.4, and 12–16) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

LEARNING ROCKET, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT AND AI FEATURES, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR WILL ACHIEVE ANY LEARNING OUTCOME. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no online service is perfectly secure, and we don't claim any security certification. Some states don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

13.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER CODE SQUIRREL LLC NOR ANY LEARNING ROCKET PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST PROGRESS OR IN-GAME ITEMS, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, HOWEVER CAUSED, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY.

13.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR LEARNING ROCKET IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.

13.3 These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law doesn't allow a limit), and some states don't allow them, so they may not fully apply to you.

14. Who you can hold responsible

14.1 Your agreement is only with Code Squirrel LLC. "Learning Rocket Parties" means Code Squirrel LLC's affiliates and its and their members, managers, officers, employees, contractors and agents.

14.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NO LEARNING ROCKET PARTY OTHER THAN CODE SQUIRREL LLC HAS ANY PERSONAL LIABILITY TO YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN, AND YOU WILL BRING ANY CLAIM ONLY AGAINST CODE SQUIRREL LLC. This doesn't limit an individual's liability for their own fraud or willful misconduct, or any liability that can't be limited by law. The Learning Rocket Parties may enforce Sections 12–16.

14.3 Your responsibility to us. To the extent permitted by law, you'll cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by third parties caused by your misuse of Learning Rocket or your breach of these Terms.

15. Disputes: arbitration, Georgia law, and deadlines

Please read this section carefully. It requires individual arbitration, waives class actions, and sets short deadlines.

15.1 Governing law. These Terms and any dispute about them or Learning Rocket are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section 15. This doesn't take away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the state where you live that can't be waived by contract.

15.2 Talk to us first. Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, send us a written notice using the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy describing the issue and what you want. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. A notice that meets Section 15.7(a) also counts as your claim notice.

15.3 Binding individual arbitration. EXCEPT AS SET OUT IN SECTION 15.5, ANY DISPUTE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR LEARNING ROCKET WILL BE RESOLVED BY FINAL AND BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (and its consumer fee schedule) then in effect, before one arbitrator, seated in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia. Hearings may be held by video or phone, or in the county where you live if you request it and the AAA rules allow. The arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could, subject to these Terms.

15.4 CLASS ACTION WAIVER. YOU AND WE MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (only) goes to court under Section 15.6.

15.5 Small claims and IP. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court (the Magistrate Court of Cobb County, Georgia, or your home county's small claims court) if it qualifies. We may also seek court relief to protect our intellectual property or the security of the service.

15.6 Venue. For anything not arbitrated, and to compel or enforce arbitration, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts in Cobb County, Georgia and the federal courts for the Northern District of Georgia. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

15.7 CLAIM DEADLINES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) YOU MUST GIVE CODE SQUIRREL LLC WRITTEN NOTICE OF ANY CLAIM USING THE CONTACT US FORM OR THE EMAIL LISTED IN OUR PRIVACY POLICY WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER YOU FIRST KNEW OR REASONABLY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE FACTS GIVING RISE TO IT, OR THE CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED; AND (b) ANY ARBITRATION OR SMALL CLAIMS ACTION ON A TIMELY-NOTICED CLAIM MUST BE FILED WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS AFTER THAT NOTICE, OR IT IS PERMANENTLY BARRED. The notice must describe the claim and the facts in reasonable detail. This Section doesn't apply where a shorter period is prohibited by law, and it doesn't shorten any time you have to dispute a charge with your card issuer or to exercise privacy rights.

15.8 Opt out of arbitration. You can opt out of Section 15.3 within 30 days after you first accept these Terms by using the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy with your name, account email and a clear statement that you opt out.

15.9 If any part of this Section is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect (except as stated in 15.4).

16. General

16.1 Notices. Notices to us must be sent using the Contact us form or the email listed in our Privacy Policy. We'll send notices to you at your account email or in the app.

16.2 Changes. We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll give at least 14 days' notice by email or in the app before they apply to you; if you keep your subscription after that, the updated Terms apply. Changes to Section 15 won't apply to a dispute we already know about.

16.3 Events beyond our reasonable control excuse delays. You can't transfer these Terms; we can (for example, in a sale or reorganization). If a provision is unenforceable, it's modified to the minimum extent needed and the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and anything you accept at checkout are the entire agreement about Learning Rocket.
