🚀 The quick version (plain English)

Part 1 — Parents, website visitors and subscribers

1. What we collect from you

2. How we use it

To create and secure your account; process payments, free trials, renewals and cancellations; send you required notices (receipts, trial and renewal reminders, changes); answer your questions; send optional updates if you opt in; keep Learning Rocket safe and working; and meet legal obligations.

Checking free-trial eligibility. Our 7-day free trial is for new families, one per family. When you start checkout, we check whether your family has already had a free trial. To do that, we look at your Learning Rocket parent account, your account email (we standardize its format, for example ignoring capital letters, so the same address is recognized), and your past subscriptions in our payment records with Stripe. We use this only to decide trial eligibility and prevent repeat trials. We don't use your card details for it, and we keep a record of which checkout offer you were shown as part of your signup record.

We do not sell your personal information, "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for profiling.

3. AI and your information

4. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run Learning Rocket, under contracts that limit their use of your data: Stripe (payments and receipts), Supabase (database, sign-in and sign-in emails), Vercel (hosting), ElevenLabs (read-aloud voice), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), and Resend (subscription confirmation emails). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business sale or reorganization (subject to this Policy). We don't sell data or share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as encrypted connections, hashed PINs and passwords, and access limited by account. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim any security certification. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your email, review and delete your children's data in Mission Control, delete your whole account, cancel your subscription, and opt out of optional messages. You can also ask us using the Contact us form for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional state privacy rights; we'll honor them as required by law and won't treat you differently for using them. We may need to verify your identity first.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use only cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in, protect the parent PIN, and remember app settings and offline progress. No advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

9. Changes

We'll post updates here with a new effective date, and tell you by email or in the app before material changes take effect. If a change affects how we use children's information, we'll ask for your consent again where the law requires.

Part 2 — Privacy Notice for Parents (children's information)

Privacy Notice for Parents

Who this is for

Learning Rocket is directed at children, but accounts can only be created and managed by a parent or guardian. Children never sign up, log in independently, or provide information directly to us — every action on a child's behalf is taken by the parent who owns the account.

What we collect

From you, the parent:

About your child, entered by you:

We do not collect your child's email, precise location, photos, voice or video, or any government ID. We do not knowingly collect more than is needed for the app to function.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: authenticating you, saving your children's progress, adjusting difficulty to their level, and showing you their progress reports. We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Who we share it with

We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting) as infrastructure providers to run the app — both process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements, and neither uses it for their own purposes. If you sign in with Google, Google processes only what's needed for that sign-in. The app's read-aloud voice is made by ElevenLabs: when a question or a story is read aloud, that sentence is sent to ElevenLabs to be turned into speech, and the recording is kept so the same sentence is never sent twice. Those sentences are the game's own words and never include your child's name. We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics/tracking services.

Your rights as a parent

Data retention

We keep account and progress data only as long as your account is active. Deleting a child profile or your account removes the associated data immediately from our active database.
